Crowns & Bridges

Did You Know?
The hardest substance in the human body is tooth enamel. When dental tooth enamel is broken down due to disease, prolonged teeth grinding (bruxism), or trauma, teeth can be permanently damaged or lost.

Dental Crowns

If a large portion of the tooth's dental enamel has been compromised, a crown may be recommended to restore bite function and protect remaining tooth structure. In cases of extensive damage, root canal therapy may also be required to treat and eliminate infection in the tooth.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Because of the ability to customize the shape of teeth and closely match tooth shades, natural-looking crowns and veneers are used in cosmetic dentistry to brighten and enhance smile appearance. No more ugly, discolored restorations that look ‘fake’ - You can enjoy a beautiful, vibrant smile with cosmetic dentistry!

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a fixed replacement for missing teeth. A bridge uses adjacent teeth to support a ‘false’ tooth which fills the space left by tooth loss. A bridge can be supported by natural teeth, or is sometimes supported by dental implants.

As part of your complete dental examination, Dr. Zanthos will evaluate damaged or missing teeth and offer any recommendations for the use of crowns and bridges to rebuild and restore your smile to proper health and bite function.

If you are in need of crowns, bridges or replacement of missing teeth with dental implants or dentures, we want to help! Contact our Alabaster family dental office to schedule a new patient examination appointment and let us assist you with creating a plan to keep you smiling for a lifetime.
